Virtual Summer Science
Summer Science looks a little bit different in 2020, as we move to an online format to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our 2020 students can access all the material they need for online learning, below. Families can find the latest news on our blog, the Summer Science Journal. For a quick tutorial on how to navigate our online Summer Science course, watch our informational video or check out our FAQs document.
Welcome to Virtual Camping Week!
HOW TO SUMMER SCIENCE: Virtually!
Each day during our 5-week course, you'll dive into activities from a different Summer Science subject area. On Mondays, you'll learn Chemistry with Mr. West, Tuesdays are Ecology with Ms. Gascho, Wednesdays are Genetics with Ms. Kline, Thursdays are Engineering with Ms. Rademacher, and Fridays are Geology with Ms. Koppes!
Here's your daily schedule. Summer Science this year is flexible, because it's virtual, so know that if you can't stick to this exact timeframe, there are still plenty of ways to participate:

Here's your daily schedule. Summer Science this year is flexible, because it's virtual, so know that if you can't stick to this exact timeframe, there are still plenty of ways to participate:
- Each day by 8:30 a.m., one of your Summer Science instructors will post daily activities and a list of materials you'll need
- At 9:00 a.m., your teacher and TA's will host an (optional, but helpful) online meeting to check in, say hi, and fill you in on the details for your day
- After your meeting, get started on your activity! Jump on to FlipGrid (see instructions here) and record your findings/answer daily questions, and check in with your fellow Summer Scientists and TA's!
