Dig beneath the surface by exploring Wisconsin geology!

We all know that geology rocks, but did you know that where we live in Wisconsin has an especially unique history? In this course you'll study basic of earth science and learn how the landscapes you see were formed right here near Waunakee. Your geology experience will include plenty of opportunity to get outside, and see the evidence of the physical processes of geology firsthand.
  • Understand the field of earth science and what geologists study
  • Learn about the rock cycle
  • Explore glacial geology and how glaciers worked to shape our landscape
  • Take a hike on the Ice Age Trail and see how our ancient past shaped the hills, valleys, and beautiful scenery of Wisconsin
